Laneige was recently a featured product in June's Ipsy Bag, and they kindly sent me a few of their products to review for you! Most of the products they sent me are skincare products, which I have been getting more into using lately. I'm trying to get into a good skincare and anti-aging routine now, so that my skin will look as nice as it can for as long as possible.
Let's be real for a second, I'm only 25 so, I don't have wrinkles yet. But every woman I've talked to who is older than me, even only a couple years older, have all said they wished they'd taken care of their skin when they were younger. I see no harm in starting a skincare regime and anti-aging product routine now while my skin is still wrinkle-free!
Laneige Multi Cleanser - ($22) This cleanser foams really well, and while I found it removed eye makeup really well, it wasn't taking off the Laneige BB Cushion as well. I had to wipe it off with a cloth to really get it off. Which I guess is a good thing for the BB Cushion if you want it to stay in place, it will!
Laneige Water Bank Serum - ($35) Serums are a fairly new product for me, but so far I really liked this one. It's very light, but it doesn't feel oily like some others do. I use it on a damp face, usually right out of the shower after cleansing and exfoliating my skin. You just need a couple pumps and use it all over your face and neck.
Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream - ($32) I'm always on the hunt for a good facial moisturizer and this worked great to moisturize my dry patches I've got constantly. It didn't make me break out, or irritate my skin, so I plan on using this everyday.
Laneige Perfect Renew Firming Eye Cream - ($47) I've been using this at night for about a week now, and I am definitely noticing a difference under my eyes with less bags and tightening of the skin. I'll be using this everyday, and see if I see even better results.
Laneige BB Cushion - ($34 with a full size refill included) These compacts include a puff that's designed to be antibacterial, and underneath is a replaceable cushion of BB cream. They have light, medium, and dark shades, and each compact has a very nice mirror inside. I love that these are SPF 50, it's so hard to find a makeup product with an SPF that high. And once it was on, it stayed it place really well. I did find the light shade to be a touch too dark and a tad bit orange for my skin.
I have a big problem with dry patches on my face. It doesn't matter how well I exfoliate, or moisturize, it always seems to become more apparent once I've got foundation or anything like that on my face. This product also clung to my dry patches, but it could have been the puff application that did it. I'm going to try applying this with a brush and see if that helps. Or maybe even my Beauty Blender, that might help as well.
I really loved all of these products, the only problem I had was there were no usage directions on any of them. I figured it out the best I could do, but for instance was the serum supposed to be used on a dry or damp face? With moisturizer or alone? Eye cream at night or morning and night? They're small instructions, but when I'm using a new product I've never tried, I like knowing I'm using it correctly. If it doesn't show results, then I don't know if it's because I used it incorrectly. *EDIT*: The usage directions are on the normal packaging with these products, which I didn't receive, but if you purchase them, they will be there!
I've noticed a few higher end skincare companies use fragrance in their products, and some of these did have a slight fragrance to them. I am less sensitive to it than I used to be, but when I'm putting it directly on my face, it's hard to not smell it. Luckily, it dissipates fairly quickly, so it's not too much to give me a headache. I would say the moisturizer is the product I noticed it in the most, so be aware of that if you're sensitive to that sort of thing.
All of these products and the rest of Laneige's line can be found at Target.
