DeleteLooks like there's more than one box. I don't have my box yet, but the weight of my box is different than the weight of the box that has this stuff in it.
ReplyDeleteSo far there aren't variations. The different weights could be due to any number of things, including how much packing material they used.
DeleteIntel I have gathered says 2 different boxes. This one, which weighs roughly 1.25 lbs and another that weighs roughly 3/4 lb.

ReplyDeleteNo they pretty much never include the polishes you would think would be in the box based on the theme. And it's why I haven't bought one since March.
DeleteThe only thing here I don't already own is the hand stuff. At least I got it with the code so I paid less for the box than I would have for the hand creme alone, and I could always use another bottle of the serum.

DeleteNot happy at all. And I have a super super light box. I'm assuming it's going to be version 2 which I don't want at all. Already have most of it, don't need hair ties. Seriously, it will go to swap.
ReplyDeleteThe ad for the box says $100 of nail polishes and beauty must-haves. plural. For 2 of the 3 boxes to only have ONE nail polish is a joke. I don't have a crazy amount of polish, but of course I already have the one in the box.
Unfortunately you have to take Julep's mystery box descriptions with a grain of salt. They tend to use them as a way to get rid of products that don't sell well.

DeleteI've never seen people care about box weight. Is it supposed to be the higher the number the more polish in it? My box arrived at the post office today, so I hope I get it tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI think it's just supposed to be an indicator of which one you got. Everyone also seems to think they are sending the birthstone polish prize with the box, but they stated they were sending it separately. I don't think the weight matters at all, the same box could have varying weights depending on any number of variables, including not being weighed properly when sent.

DeleteI received my Mystery Box - #1. I'm pretty meh about it. I'll probably use the night serum once or twice, the lip gloss is okay, the purple & brown polishes also okay. The green & yellow polishes are ugly. I'm going to feel bad giving them away! When I ordered I thought they were giving away at least one of the "jewel" colors in the mystery boxes. Bummer. Glad I used the $10 off code.
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing with Julep mystery boxes, they advertise it as if you're getting something special in it, but that's all it is is advertising and a theme. Usually they stick whatever isn't selling in these to get rid of them.

ReplyDeleteI'm from Mexico. I use go to USA twice or 3 times every year so my Julep things are waiting for me but I'm not happy at all with this mystery box.
There is, but they never said you were going to receive certain items. You have to always read the fine print. It's a mystery box, and they've never guaranteed anything in them except when they specifically have a new polish they say will be in the box. You should email them, because they won't know you're unhappy unless you tell them. I no longer purchase the mystery boxes, because in the 8 months I've tracked the spoilers for them, they have never included anything that I would have bought myself.
DeleteI received a new variation of the mystery box in the mail today. Mine had the Plie Wand, Oxygen Smoothing Base Coat, Oxygen Performance Top Coat, Zelda, and Gayle. Also, I believe the price of the major mystery add-on was $14.99.
