Here I have the Essentials bundle to review for you, I was sent this for review purposes, but I did get to choose some of the items included, just like you get to do when you sign up for the bundle subscriptions. Normally, when you subscribe you get 5 full size products of your choice, and there are over 50 different ones to choose from. You get to choose which products you need, and how often they ship to you.
I have no idea how quickly this ships, as I was contacted about reviewing this in July, and I think they forgot about me. I emailed them again last month about it, and letting them know I never received it, and then it just showed up on my doorstep one morning delivered by OnTrac.
I'm going to add up the prices of these items as if they were the full size, so you can get an idea of how good the value is for this bundle. Since I received 6 products total, instead of the normal 5, I will leave out one for the amount.
4-in-1 Laundry Packs - ($15.95) This bag is giant! But it's definitely not as heavy as a laundry detergent container, so for ease of use this wins. This was the item I got to pick for this review bundle, but normally you get to pick every item. It was basically the one I got to try in full size form, and since I always need laundry detergent, I picked these laundry packs, since we normally just use the liquid detergent. I wanted to see how they differ.
These are the products in sample size that I didn't get to pick, but if you order the Essentials bundle, they will be full size, and you would get to pick 5. But I received a good mix of cleaning supplies, and bath and body items, which is mostly what's offered in this bundle. This stand-alone set is available on the website though, it's called the Discovery Set, and it retails for $13.95.
Organic Healing Balm - ($12.95 for the full size) This is meant to be an ointment for dry, irritated, or sensitive skin, and I think if you deal with dry feet, dry elbows, or anything like that this would be a great product for dealing with it.
Honest Hand Soap - ($4.95 for the full size) This hand soap has a mild lavender scent, which I happen to know some of the other Honest Company products have the same scent. It's not too strong though, and I like this little sample good for bringing anywhere you won't be able to wash your hands.
Honest Face + Body Lotion - ($9.95 for the full size) I don't see many lotions that can be used for both the body and face, so this is a unique product. And this little sample size is good for travel.
Honest Multi-Surface Cleaner - ($5.95 for the full size) This cleaner has a white grapefruit scent which doesn't smell to much like cleaning products. I wouldn't mind using this as the spray makes it easy to use, and it smells good too!
Honest Shampoo + Body Wash - ($9.95 for the full size) This is another unique product, and especially good for travel. It's a combined shampoo and body wash, and it has a really yummy orange vanilla scent.
Overall, this bundle would have been worth $54.75 including the 5 highest priced items included, or $43.75 with the 5 lowest priced items included. Either way, considering the bundle is normally $35.95, you're getting a great value, and you get to pick which items are included, based on what you need. I'll be honest, I'm not really someone who is ingredient conscious about the products I use, but if you are, or are just looking to use cleaning and bath and body products that are more natural, I think this is a good way to go.

This looks great! I might consider trying it out... You know, for blog/research purposes when I need some new cleaning stuff. Am I the only one that loves cleaning products. After the beauty aisle, it's my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHaha I don't as much, cleaning is not my favorite. Organization on the other hand, is totally my thing :)
